Use the following procedure to install the crankshaft bearing caps:
- Apply clean engine oil to the threads of the bolts (6) and faces of the washers.
- Tighten the bolts (6) on each crankshaft bearing cap to 54 ± 7 N·m (40 ± 5 lb ft).
- Tighten the bolts (6) on each crankshaft bearing cap to an additional angle of 90 ± 5 degrees.
