Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) has detected an internal fault.
System Response:
The ECM will log the diagnostic code.
- Engine power and engine performance may be affected.
- Any normal ECM function may be affected.
- Engine shutdown
Test Step 1.
Replace the ECM. Ensure that the new ECM serial number ends with the same two characters as the old ECM serial number. Refer to Troubleshooting, “Replacing the ECM” before replacing the ECM.
