Remove & Install Vibration Damper
1. Attach a strap and a suitable lifting device to vibration damper (1). Remove six bolts and washers (2) that hold vibration damper (1) and adapter (3) to the crankshaft.
2. Remove vibration damper (1) and adapter (3). The weight of the vibration damper is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).

Dash marks (4) on the front of the damper assembly must be in alignment with each other. If dash marks (4) are not in alignment, replace with a new damper assembly. |

NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the vibration damper.
3. Attach a strap and a suitable lifting device to vibration damper (1). Use a 5/8-18 x 6 inch (152 mm) Long Guide Bolt, and put vibration damper (1) and adapter (3) in position on the crankshaft. The weight of the vibration damper is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).
4. Put clean engine oil on the threads of bolts (2), and install five of the six bolts and washers (2) that hold vibration damper (1) and adapter (3) to the crankshaft. Remove the 5/8-18 x 6 inch (152 mm) Long Guide Bolt and install the remaining bolt and washer (2).
