Remove & Install Starting Motor
NOTE: For purposes of assembly, identify and mark the positions of all wiring before disconnecting or removing any wires.

Disconnect batteries before performance of any service work. |

1. Disconnect the wires from the starting motor.
Typical Example
2. Fasten a hoist to the starting motor. Remove three bolts (1) that hold the starting motor to flywheel housing. Remove the electric starting motor. The weight of the starting motor is 32 kg (70 lb).
NOTE: The following steps are for installation of the electric starting motor.
3. Fasten a hoist, and install electric starting motor on the flywheel housing. Install the three bolts (1) that hold the starting motor to flywheel housing.
4. Connect the wires to the starting motor.
