Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on threads of bolts.

Locks must be bent on a flat side of the bolt head. Bolts must be turned no more than 30 degrees (in the direction of increased torque only) for the alignment of locks with a flat side of the bolt head.

Water Cooled Exhaust Manifold

1. Tighten 16 bolts (A) that hold manifolds (2) and (5) in position to a torque of … 55 ± 10 N·m (40 ± 7 lb ft)

2. Put elbows (1), (6), manifolds assembly (4) and the gaskets in position and tighten all bolts and nuts in letter sequence finger tight.

3. Tighten 8 bolts (B) to a torque of … 14 ± 7 N·m (10 ± 5 lb ft)

4. Tighten 8 bolts (C) to a torque of … 14 ± 7 N·m (10 ± 5 lb ft)

5. Tighten 8 bolts (B) again to a torque of … 55 ± 10 N·m (40 ± 7 lb ft)

6. Tighten 8 bolts (C) again to a torque of … 55 ± 10 N·m (40 ± 7 lb ft)

7. Tighten 2 bolts (D) again to a torque of … 105 ± 20 N·m (77 ± 15 lb ft)

8. Tighten 4 studs (3) to a torque of … 27 ± 4 N·m (20 ± 3 lb ft)
