Remove Valve Covers
start by:
a) remove water separator
1. Loosen clamp (1). Slide hose (2) away from the crankcase ventilation valve.
2. Remove bolts (4) and valve cover (3).
3. Remove the gasket from the valve cover.
4. Do Steps 1 through 3 for the other valve cover.
Install Valve Covers
1. Put gasket (1) in position in the valve cover.
2. Put valve cover (2) in position. Install the bolts.
TIGHTENING SEQUENCE
3. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 120 ± 24 lb.in. (14 ± 3 N·m) in the sequences shown.
4. Connect hose (3) to the crankcase ventilator valve. Put the hose clamp in position. Tighten the hose clamp to a torque of 20 ± 2 lb.in. (2.3 ± 0.2 N·m).
