Inspect the connecting rod bearings for peeling, melting, seizure or poor contact. If the connecting rod bearings are worn or if the connecting rod bearings are damaged, replace the connecting rod bearings.
- Measure the clearance between the connecting rod bearing and the crankshaft journal.
- Measure the connecting rod bearings at positions (1) and (2) in directions (A) and (B). Refer to the Specifications Module, "Connecting Rod" topic for information on the tolerances.
