Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the piston pump.

  1. Remove pump coupling (1) .

    Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.

    Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

    Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

  1. Remove bolts (2). Remove control valve body (3) from pump housing (6) .

  1. Remove bolts (4) and head (5) from pump housing (6) .

  1. Remove gasket (7) from control valve body (3) .

  1. Remove nut (8), O-ring seal (9), solenoid (10), and cartridge (11) from control valve body (3) .

  1. Remove O-ring seal (12), backup ring (13), backup rings (14), O-ring seal (16), backup rings (15), and O-ring seal (17) from cartridge (11) .

  1. Remove O-ring seal (18) and port plate (19) from head (5) .

  1. Remove bearing cup (20) .

  1. Remove bearing cone (23) from shaft assembly (21). Remove O-ring seals (22) and shim (24) .

  1. Remove rotating assembly (25) from housing (6). Carefully retain rotating assembly (25) in housing (6). Turn rotating assembly (25) upside-down. Slowly lift housing (6) off rotating assembly (25) .

    Note: Mark the location of pistons (27) for assembly purposes.

  1. Remove plate (26) and pistons (27) from barrel assembly (28) .

  1. Remove bearing (29) from barrel assembly (28) .
