Remove Valve Covers
1. Loosen two clamps (1). Remove hose (2) from between crankcase ventilator valve (3) and the air inlet manifold.
2. Remove eight bolts (4) and valve cover (5).
3. Remove the gasket from the valve cover.
4. Do Steps 1 through 3 for the other valve cover.
Install Valve Covers
1. Put the gasket in position in the valve cover.
2. Put valve cover (5) in position. Install eight bolts (4) that hold it in place.
3. Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 17 ± 3 N·m (13 ± 2 lb ft)in the number sequences shown.
4. Put hose (2) in position between the air inlet manifold and crankcase ventilator valve (3). Put two hose clamps (1) in position. Tighten the hose clamps to a torque of2.3 ± 0.2 N·m (20 ± 2 lb in).
